Vintage 1960s 1962 Selmer Truvoice Bassmaster 50 Amplifier Ex Budgie
Vintage 1960s 1962 Selmer Truvoice Bassmaster 50 Amplifier Ex Budgie
I’m a big Budgie fan so when this beauty was offered to me, I couldn’t refuse! It was apparently bought by the previous owner from Ray Phillips – long term drummer with Budgie. The amplifier itself is a really early 1962/1963 Bassmaster 50 in wonderful original condition including all the original valves inside. They include a Mullard GZ34, 2x Mullard EL34, and all original ECC83s too! The 3x transformers are original to the amplifier and work well.
When I got this, it was a little noisy so my tech had to replace the main caps, as pictured. It is an amazing example of this – near enough completely untouched and unmolested. You’ll struggle to find a purer example. This amplifier has been serviced to a playable & safe standard, by one of our leading amp techs. To find out more about what our service includes, please check out our terms and conditions before purchasing. Get in touch for any more info – I’m always willing to do a deal including part exchange and trades!
